Meet Your Designer

Chris Alvarez

I discovered my passion for graphic design back in 2013 while taking a creative computer arts class at Sonora High School. One of our lessons was to create a digital design, in which we would print out and press onto a t-shirt. That was the start of it all for me. That same year, I started designing my own apparel and launched a car enthusiast clothing brand, "BlacktopCo". I promoted on social media and would sell my apparel at different car events across Northern California. The brand gained traction and I met a lot of new people doing this. Over time, people began reaching out for help with their own ideas; event flyers, illustrations of their cars, logos for their business, and so forth. I took on these projects and quickly realized that I loved helping others with their designs as much as I loved creating my own. This is how Irox Design came to be.

I continued to expand my knowledge on graphic design by spending countless hours reading and watching tutorials to figure it all out as I went. After many years of crafting my skill, I'm proud to say that I feel confident tackling any project that comes my way. I strive on making sure you're actually getting what you want, and not what you "should" want. I communicate with you throughout the whole process to make sure your design comes out how you envisioned it, or better! Need a design but stuck in a creative rut? Not to worry, I can also help create the vision with you and get your project going in the right direction!

Why "Irox Design"? In the car community, I was given the nickname "Iroc Chris" because of the car I drove. A 1987 Camaro IROC-Z that I still have to this day. So when thinking of a name for my business, I decided to stick to my roots and use a variation of the iroc name.
